Refund Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

This Refund Policy explains when refunds may be issued for RUDDR subscriptions, and how refunds work for services billed between users through RUDDR.

1. General Refund Policy

RUDDR is flight training software for instructors, their students, and flight schools. Refund eligibility depends on the type of service and the timing of the cancellation request. RUDDR does not take a fee from instructional invoices — the full amount you are invoiced goes to your instructor or flight school, so a refund is settled directly between you and them. RUDDR's own revenue comes from subscriptions, which are governed by the subscription terms rather than this policy.

What RUDDR Charges, and What It Does Not

RUDDR takes 0% of an instructional invoice. When a student pays an instructor through RUDDR, the payment settles in USDC directly from the student's wallet to the instructor's wallet on the Solana network. RUDDR is not a recipient of that transfer, never takes custody of the funds, and takes no percentage, commission, or transaction fee from it.

This has a consequence that matters more than the headline: RUDDR cannot refund money it never held. A refund for instruction, aircraft time, or any other service billed between two users is a matter between those users, settled under the terms they agreed with each other. RUDDR can show you the record; it cannot reverse the payment.

The only money RUDDR itself collects is the subscription an instructor or an organization pays for use of the platform. Sections 4 through 6 govern those payments, and they are the only payments this policy can promise anything about.

2. Flight Lesson Cancellations

Cancellation terms for instruction are set by the instructor, not by RUDDR. RUDDR displays the instructor's stated policy before a booking is confirmed, and the instructor may change it for their own students.

Where an instructor has not published a policy of their own, RUDDR suggests the following default, which the instructor is free to override:

  • More than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson: no cancellation charge
  • 24–48 hours before the scheduled lesson: up to half the lesson fee may be charged
  • Less than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson: the full lesson fee may be charged
  • Cancellations for weather, airspace restrictions, or any other safety reason: no cancellation charge, at any notice, and rescheduling at no additional cost

If a lesson has already been invoiced and paid, that money is with the instructor. Reversing it is the instructor's decision and the instructor's transfer to make. RUDDR does not hold prepaid lesson funds, does not release them, and does not act as an escrow agent for them.

3. Flight School and Aircraft Bookings

Where a flight school or organization schedules instruction or aircraft through RUDDR, that school's own cancellation terms apply. As with instruction, RUDDR does not process, hold, or refund those payments, and cannot reverse a payment made directly between a student and an instructor or school.

4. Platform Subscriptions

A RUDDR subscription is billed in USDC on the Solana network for a defined period — a month or a year. The rules below are implemented in the platform's own code and are applied identically to every account.

Cancelling Is Not the Same as a Refund

Cancelling a subscription stops the next scheduled payment and nothing else. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. You are not cut off on the day you cancel, and cancelling does not by itself return any money.

Monthly Subscriptions

A monthly subscription is non-refundable once it has been activated — that is, once the paid features have been made available to your account. If a payment is collected but the subscription is never activated, the full amount is refundable.

Annual Subscriptions

A refund of an annual subscription may be requested within 30 days of activation. After that, an annual subscription is non-refundable.

Inside that window, the refundable amount covers the whole months of the term that have not yet begun. The month you are currently in has started and is not refunded. So a refund requested three days into a twelve-month term returns eleven twelfths of what was paid, not the whole of it; a refund requested after the second month of the term has begun returns ten twelfths.

Term months run from the anniversary of the day the term started, not from the first of the calendar month.

5. How a Subscription Refund Is Decided

No refund is issued automatically. A request opens a review; it does not release funds.

  1. You submit a request against a specific subscription receipt. The platform evaluates it against the rules in section 4 and records the result, which is frozen at that moment — a later change to this policy cannot alter what you were told you were owed.
  2. A RUDDR operator reviews the request and approves or denies it. The operator who approves a refund is never the person who requested it. An operator may approve less than the evaluated amount, and never more.
  3. After approval, a refund is recorded as paid only when an operator confirms a finalized on-chain settlement. RUDDR does not automatically send treasury USDC transfers in this release. A transaction that is merely submitted or provisionally confirmed is not treated as a completed refund.

Every step above is written to an audit trail that RUDDR retains.

6. How and When a Refund Is Paid

An approved refund is recorded against the wallet the subscription was paid from, in USDC. There is no card, bank account, or other original payment method to return it to, because there was none. If you bought the USDC with a card through MoonPay, that purchase is between you and MoonPay; a RUDDR refund is still paid in USDC to the wallet the subscription came from.

RUDDR aims to complete operator review within 5 business days of a request. The refund is recorded as settled only after an operator confirms a finalized on-chain settlement signature. RUDDR does not automatically send treasury transfers in this release. Network finality is outside RUDDR's control.

To request a refund, contact support@flyruddr.app with the subscription receipt and the reason for the request.

7. Disputes

If you believe a subscription refund was wrongly denied, contact support@flyruddr.app within 30 days of the decision. RUDDR will review the decision and respond within 5 business days.

For disputes between students, instructors, and flight schools over money that RUDDR never held, RUDDR may provide the records it holds but is not obligated to mediate and cannot reverse the payment.
